Heartland Keep is a family home located in central Illinois. We use this site to keep in touch with family and friends.
Central Illinois is very different than other parts of Illinois. Located south of Starved Rock, we have bluffs and the terrain is very rolling. Woodford County is mostly conservative, hard working people that love the country lifestyle.
Metamora is 5 miles away and where Abraham Lincoln had his law office.
The Illinois River is visible from the back and north side of the house. We have abundant wildlife with deer, turkeys, bald eagles, red and grey fox and your usual birds, squirrels and racoons.
